Visit Denmark in August 2010 and experience both the many exciting events and international fellowships





Camp Copenhagen 2010 is organized by Kongens Lyngby Rotary Clubs in cooperation with the following  Rotary Clubs, Dyrehaven, Lillerød, Sorgenfri, Søllerød and Taastrup . All the Danish clubs are of District 1470.
20 young people of age 21 to 25 are invited to participate in Camp Copenhagen 2010 in the period from August, 8th to August, 22th, 2010
Camp Copenhagen 2010 has the following purposes:
  • to bring young people from various cultures and countries together
  • to help young people better to understand each other and different cultures
  • to create lasting friendships across borders
  • geographical as well as cultural borders
  • to let the participants meet Danish culture and the Danish way of life

All under the headline: "DEMOCRACY UNLIMITED"
Camp Copenhagen 2010 comprises the following arrangements:

  • visits to Danish public institutions: The Parliament, a local townhall, a police station
  • visits to cultural heritage monuments: Kronborg, Vikingship Museum, Roskilde Cathedral, National Art Museum
  • excursion (one day) to Sweden
  • Rotary club meeting

and not least

  • recreation and amusement: Tivoli, Bakken, fishing, going to the beach
  • and time for shopping and excursions on your own

Participants must be between 21 and 25, and you must be able to understand and speak English, the language of Camp Copenhagen 2010


Participants will experiense two intensive weeks, all staying together in a camp way of life, and in turns taking part  in cooking and other dayly doings to ensure, that the camp life runs easy and pleasant for everyone.
Also be aware of the fact, that the campbuilding have only one dormitory, and that you all are sleeping in the same room.
For your comfort remember to bring practical clothes and nightwear, and dont forget your good sleeping bag.
